Description

Set of twenty-one architectural drawings of "Snug but Spacious" model house for Good Housekeeping Magazine (commission #1205) including six elevations, four plans, five framing plans, and six details. Some drawings are dated; most are signed by Merton S. Barrows, Robert E. Minot, or Warren J. Rhoter.

Drawings depict a one-story ranch-style house with an asphalt shingle roof and a stone, flush board, and batten exterior. House has living room with fireplace, dining room, kitchen, snack corner, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, dining terrace, and an attached one-car garage.

Drawings based on this design are also included for Richard C. Rotherham (Melrose, Massachusetts), Mrs. Ross E. Wilkins (Mapleton, Minnesota), and Mrs. James C. Martin (Traverse City, Michigan).
