Description

Set of eight architectural drawings of house for Mabel Merriken in Huntington, West Virginia (commission #1052) including three elevations, two plans, and three details. Drawings are dated but not signed. Design is based on house shown on page 28 of "Better Houses for Budgeteers."

Drawings depict a one-story Cape Cod-style house with an asphalt shingle roof and a whitewashed brick and clapboard exterior. House has vestibule, living room with fireplace, dining room, kitchen, two bedrooms and one bathroom. A one-car garage is on the basement level.
