Description

Set of twenty-six architectural drawings of house for Margaret E. Gardner in Newton, Massachusetts (commission #224) including four elevations, five plans, three framing plans, plot plan, and thirteen details. No drawings are signed; several detail drawings are dated. Plot plan is dated 1928 and was prepared by Everett M. Brooks, Civil Engineer, Newtonville, Massachusetts.

Drawings depict a two-story five-bay Colonial Revival-style house with a stone and shingle exterior. House has vestibule, living room with fireplace, dining room, kitchen, pantry, breakfast room, lavatory, screened porch, maid's room and bathroom, four bedrooms, and two bathrooms. A play room and two-car garage are on the basement level; two additional bedrooms are shown in the attic.
