Description

Set of twelve architectural drawings of house for builder Chester S. Patten in Melrose, Massachusetts (commission #396) including four elevations, six plans, and two details. Two drawings are dated; no drawings are signed.

Drawings depict a two-story French-style house with a slate hip roof and a whitewashed brick exterior. House has vestibule, living room with fireplace, study, dining room, kitchen, covered porch, three bedrooms, sewing room, three bathrooms, and an attached two-car garage. A recreation room with fireplace is on the basement level.
