Four volumes containing the transcribed letters and postcards of artist Mildred G. Burrage between 1909 and 1914. The letters were transcribed by Earle G. Shettleworth, Jr., then the Maine State Historian, in preparation for the Portland Museum of Art's 2012 exhibition "From Portland to Paris." Each volume includes a foreword written by Earle G. Shettleworth, Jr., along with a key of frequent nicknames found in the letters. Photographs of Burrage, examples of her art, and ephemera related to her time in Paris are also featured in the volumes.
