Description

Receipt sent to Moses Frazier, Simon Tufts, and Jeremiah Nelson from mariner Peter Ardan requesting wages for work completed upon the brig from May 12, 1796 to November 1, 1796. Dated November 1, 1796. In a different hand, dated December 5, 1797 in Newburyport, Massachusetts, the receipt discusses efforts to ensure the heir of the late deceased Peter Ardan receives the appropriate wages. This section also promises to protect Moses Frazier, Jeremiah Nelson, and Samuel Tufts, the administrator of Simon Tuft's estate, from liability.
