Description

Property deed written by Shubael Bell, deputy for the County of Suffolk in Massachusetts, settling a dispute between architect Asher Benjamin and painter James Ferriter, Jr.. In this notice, Bell does "hereby give, grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the said Asher Benjamin, his heirs and assigns, the right in equity of redemption, which the aforesaid James Ferriter Junior had in and to a certain piece of parcel of mortgage real estate." The notice describes the background of the judgement and what led to the sale. The notice is signed and sealed by Bell and counter sized by William Donnison, justice of the piece, and another unidentified witness. Bell sent to notice to Benjamin, who received it on July 26, 1815.
