One-page written invocation titled, "A charm for the prevention of toothache". The identity of this charm's author, the details of when and where it was written, and the identity of the charm's recipient are unknown. However, similar versions of this text have been found that date back over a thousand years, indicating that this charm was a fairly traditional and popular piece of Western Christianity-based folk medicine.
The charm reads: "As Jesus was walking by the gates of Jerusalem, he saw Peter sitting on a marble stone. What aileth thou Peter? The toothache, my Lord. Arise Peter and follow me, and thy seed, seed, seed [sic] shall never be troubled with the toothache any more. Anyone who keeps this either in memory or in writing shall never have the toothache. Glory, Honour, and Praise be to our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ!!!"
