Description

Letter from Harrison Gray Otis written in Watertown, Massachusetts, dated January 18, 1789. The letter, written to an unidentified individual, discusses previous correspondence and the planning of an event. The verso of the letter has information written by two different hands. The first reads: "H.G. Otis -- / Watertown / January 18. 1789 [underlined] / Harrison Gray Otis M.G. / from Massachusetts / from 1797 to 1807." The author of this note is unknown. The second note in a different hand reads: "Given to me by Rd Templeton / 18th August 1838 / J. Mausten Jones."
