One albumen print of the Dorothy Quincy Homestead in Quincy, Massachusetts. The photographer is unknown. The print is dated to the late 19th century and measures 7 x 10 inches. The house was built in 1686 by Edmund Quincy II and housed the Quincy family over numerous generations. In the 19th century, the house was leased to Peter Butler, Esq., who continued to add onto the property. For this reason, the print is labeled as the Peter Butler House on the verso. On the verso of the mount, the following is written: "Peter Butler House 1635 A.D. more recent addition 1685. - in view / Quincy, Mass." In a different hand, the phrase "from Baker, October, 1952." is written along the right side of the verso.
