One albumen print of the Alexander Standish House in Duxbury, Massachusetts. The photographer is unknown. The print is dated to the late 19th century and measures 7 x 10 inches. It has been claimed this house was built by Alexander Standish, son of Mayflower Pilgrim, Capt. Myles Standish, in 1666. However, architectural and documentary evidence suggests the house was built in the mid-18th century. On the verso of the mount, the following is written: "3 Standish House in Duxbury, Mass. Blt 1666. / Built by the son of Miles [sp] Standish, of timber used / from the old Standish House." In a different hand, the phrase "from Baker, October, 1952." is written along the right side of the verso.
