Description

"Hattie (L?)eema Hutchinson Paine, Boston" - inscribed on flyleaf. Undated.

Carte de visite album with badly frayed (boards) and split spine. Includes paper prints and tintypes of family members, printed scraps, and an unidentified lock of hair. Additionally, there are identified photographs of Henry Ward Beecher, Edwin Booth, and Theodore Tilton as well as an unidentified bearded woman, and a woman in what appears to be an indigenous costume in the album. Inscriptions by a later family member describing family members individual as "Marm". Also includes photographs related to the Spiritualism movement.
