Description

This subseries contains approximately 200 glass plate and acetate or nitrate of towns, landscapes, and scenery throughout New Hampshire. The most represented scenes in the state are the White Mountains. There are many negatives depicting Mount Washington, including the train up the mountain, views from the peak, and the carriage road. Also featured are scenes from White Mountain National Forest, Lake Winnespeasaukee and the steamer Mt. Washington, and the logging industry of Waterville.
The original listing provided by Yankee Publishing includes several towns that were not found in the collection. These include Canaan, Chesterfield, Colebrook, Cornish, Enfield, Fitzwilliam, Franklin, Goffstown, Hanover, Henniker, Hill, Hillsborough, Jackson, Jaffrey, Lyndeboro, Manchester, New Castle, Peterborough, Portsmouth, Stratham, and Temple.
