Description

This series contains design drawings and photographs depicting a variety of furnishings manufactured by A. H. Davenport Co., Irving and Casson, and their successor Irving and Casson - A. H. Davenport Co.

The design drawings include chairs, desks, mirrors, room elevations. sofas, support furnishings, and tables.
The photographs include beds, benches, candlesticks/costumers, case goods, chairs, chaise longues, desks, mantles, mirrors, paneling/room trim, support furnishings, and tables. Interior elevations are also included. Photographic and printed design resources assumed to be used by artists of the firm are present in this series. A portion of photographs of furnishings in the series indicate on the verso that they were manufactured for a single client named F. E. Anderson of Houston, Texas.

Many of the photographs in this series portray ecclesiastical carvings and furnishings. There are two photographic negatives of ecclesiastic images included. A portion of photographs of ecclesiastical carvings are signed E. Pellegrini, or initialed E. P.

A small number of printed catalog pages are included. Approximately 40 individual typed pages (invoices) showing client names and manufacturing costs are included. A consolidated list of approximately 160 clients is available upon request.

Pellegrino signature or initials on ecclesiastical carvings have been arranged together. Photographs of home furnishings for F. E. Anderson have been arranged together.
