Description

Ticket marked "CHECK" for a performance of the Germania Musical Society on April 2nd, 1853. The Society is known to have played Beethoven's Ninth Symphony at this specific concert date. The ticket is made out to "Herr Bandt", who was presumably H. Bandt, either a musician and/or the agent of the Society. Written on the back of the ticket: "Last Concert Saturday Evening April 2nd, 1853 - Previous to their departure for the South and West - Handel and Hayden Society Tomorrow 'Creation' ".
