Specifications and contract for the building of a school house in School District No. One or Rocky Nook in Kingston, Massachusetts. The specifications and attached contract specify that the construction of the school in accordance to the specifications must be completed on or before June 1, 1845. The specifications were written on August 7, 1844. The attached contract was signed by carpenter and builder Lewis Ripley, Chairman of the Committee for the School District Joshua Delano, and politician Joseph S. Beal on August 19, 1844. The specifications measure 12 1/2 x 7 1/2 inches.
