Double column text report detailing an abstract of the proceedings of the first meeting of the Building Committee of Grace Church. The abstract contains detai.ls about committee appointments, the contract with the architectural firm of Salmon, Jeremiah, Theodore, and William Washburn, and the specifications for the interior and exterior of the building. The letter is dated March 20, 1835 and the meeting described occured on March 16, 1835 at the hall of the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary.

Grace Church was an Episcopal Church located on Temple Street in the Beacon Hill neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. The church was designed architect William Washburn (1808-1890) in 1835 in the Gothic style. THe church was constructed from granite and included architectural features such as stained glass windows, buttresses, and towers with decorative embellishments. In 1865, the building was sold to the Methodist Episcopal Society and was utilized as a church under a variety of names. It was ultimately acquired by Boston University and demolished.
