Pamphlets

Description

This series primarily includes pamphlets related to New England churches. These pamphlets come from a variety of sources, but they are most often published by the associated church; for instance, some of the pamphlets are histories of churches, others are published copies of sermons, and a few are printed scores from musical pieces written for and performed at particular churches. Other pamphlets are published by allied organizations and cover topics less specific to individual churches, including two pamphlets about the Boston Jewish experience. While the majority of the pamphlets relate to churches or religion, there are a few items that do not, including pamphlets published by banks and railroad companies. This collection also includes a small number of issues of Gleason's Pictorial. The materials in this series date from 1804 to 2002.
