Description

Trolley cars emerge and descend at the Public Garden portal completed in 1895. The trolley car on the left is travelling to Arsenal Watertown. The back of the one on the right reads Union Square, subway to Park Street. There is an African-American man in the pedestrian group on the right. The statue on the left is the Charles Sumner memorial.
