Description

Ticket for an event by the Mercantile Library Association including an oration made by the Hon. Edward Everett about George Washington. The oration was held on February 23, 1857 at Boston Music Hall, with proceeds going towards the purchase of Washington's former home, Mount Vernon. The ticket is for the "2nd Balcony Right 36" and the names of Charles S. Parks, Emma Thayer, and Mary Thayer are written on the reverse.
