Ticket for "Professor [William] Watson's Course on Machines and Motors" given by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Lowell Institute in 1869-1870. The Lowell Institute's courses were a series of free evening continuing education classes offered to working people of any gender and taught by university faculty members.
