Nineteen albumen prints taken by Ruth Crowley depicting Massachusetts General Hospital staff, buildings, grounds, and patients. Eighteen of the prints measure 3 x 5 1/2 inches and one print measures 4 x 5 inches. The Bulfinch Building, located on the hospital's main campus on Fruit Street in the West End of Boston, Massachusetts, is in several photographs as the focus or in the background. A number of the photographs are labeled on the verso with the name of buildings and individuals pictured. Some of the individuals pictured are Dr. Saunders, Dr. Faxon, Dr. Linton, Mrs. Salby, and Mrs. Spillane among others.
The envelope has the following typed on its recto: "Branch Office / THE TRAVELERS / Central Building / 332 Main Street / Worcester 8, Mass." Above this text, the following is written: "RUTH CROWLEY's / Boston Pictures / Friends + scenes."
