Design drawing titled "Bureau for Stock" rendered in pencil on trace. Perspective view is shown. Rectangular dresser has overhanging top with projecting front corners; shallow backboard with concave corners; five drawers with bail handles in a two-over-three arrangement; rectangular panel between two top drawers with carved urn and garland decorations; straight skirt with molded edge; freestanding round columns with fluting and carved acanthus leaves at bottom between carved top and bottom front corner blocks; and short tapered fluted square legs and cuffed feet. Rectangular molded mirror frame has gently curved top with concave top corners and is attached to bureau by two fluted round columns with carved acanthus leaves at base, carved rectangular blocks and turned finials. Title, design notes and "Detail No. 12338" are handwritten on drawing.
