This United Press black-and- white photograph shows three male students consulting books and a slide rule while one leans on an automatic washing machine. The typed note adhered to the verso indicates the University of Rhode Island student's names are Herbert Renkin of Providence R.I., William MacQuattie of Barrington, R.I., and Edward Kenyon of Hillsdale N.J. The note is dated January 1, 1954.
