Description

The image depicts the doorway of an unidentified house located on Main Street in Thomaston, Maine. The door is framed by decorative woodwork, including pilasters and an arched transom. On either side of the door are narrow, decorative glass panels, and there is an ornate lantern affixed to the wall on the right. A set of steps with metal railings leads up to the door.
