China House Restaurant operated out of this location on Boylston from at least 1955 to 1965. During the 1960s, the restaurant was owned and operated by Karl E. Bressler, a Jewish immigrant from Austria.
Mansfield Beauty Academies are a group of cosmetology schools that were founded in 1909 in Boston by Dr. Katherine Mansfield. Branches of the school are still in operation in the greater Boston area.
