Account book with an embellished leather cover belonging to an unidentified individual. The book contains entries dating from April 1847 through January 1859, although the majority of entries range from April 1847 through January 1850. The account book contains approximately 300 pages of which 58 have been used. This volume provides a wealth of information on businesses operating in the Boston area during the time, as well as information on the operation of the Boston Water Works during its early years.
