Rococo Revival-style arm chair has rectangular upholstered back with row of large metal tacks along perimeter; elaborately carved pierced crest rail with foliate scrolls; diamond lattice and shells; straight molded stiles with scrolled ears; straight lower back rail; straight arms with carved scroll handholds and deep upholstered arm pads with metal tack trim; curved arm supports with acanthus leaf carving; deeply padded upholstered seat with metal tack trim; shaped seat rails with elaborate carving as in crest rail; cabriole legs with foliate carving and scrolled feet; and double-lyre stretchers.
