Description

Design drawing titled "Side Table of Mahogany" rendered in pencil on trace. Front and side views are shown. Classical Revival-style rectangular server has splashboard; top with molded edge; frieze with two drawers; freestanding scrolled legs with carved acanthus leaves and fluting which terminate in large paw feet in front; solid base with molded rim. Carved ornamentation includes tall scrolling foliage atop splashboard ends, foliate motifs on splashboard ends; rosettes on frieze ends. Branch veneer on splashboard and drawer fronts. Title, dimensions and design notes are handwritten in pencil; also handwritten in red is "13934."
