Description

Wallpaper fragment from Stoughton, Massachusetts. Wide, large scale striped pattern. One stripe features alternating vignettes of a red urn with a green marble ashlar. The vignettes of this stripe are framed in borders with c-scrolls. The other stripe is alternating ashlars of gray and green marble framed in red. The background is printed with an elaborate diaper pattern. Printed in white, two greens, two grays, red, and brown on a cream satin ground.
