Mary Elizabeth Giles (1858-1916) was the first wife of Jonathan Godfrey (1857-1949) of Fairfield, Connecticut. They married in 1886. Jonathan was an inventor and entrepreneur throughout his life. They had two children, Emma Curtis Godfrey (1887-1896) and Jonathan Godfrey (1889-1899), both of whom died in childhood.
