William Appleton Thomas was born on July 13, 1828 to John Thomas (1794-1855) and Hannah (Hedge) Thomas (1804-). He married Annie Corliss Morton (1844-1920) in 1868. He died on December 4, 1903 in Kingston, Massachusetts, and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery in Kingston, Massachusetts.
