A 14 - line excerpt of Sarah Orne Jewett's "Deocration Day," which first appeared in Harper's Magazine in June of 1892, and was later collected in A Native of Wimby, 1893. Also included is a letter from David J. Holmes Autographs, who owned the excerpt before it was donated to Historic New England.
