"Mementos: Jewelry of Life and Love from Historic New England": In 1914, after years of effort, the Cape Cod Canal opened, allowing ships to pass between Cape Cod Bay and Buzzards Bay. One of many souvenirs of this engineering feat, this fob commemorates a play, The Pageant of Cape Cod, produced during the opening celebrations.
