Description

Poster for the exhibit "The Camera's Coast: Historic Photographs of Maritime New England." The exhibit ran from February 19-May 30, 2004 at the Maine Historical Society in Portland, Maine. The exhibit was organized by the Society for the Preservation of New England Antiquties (now known as Historic New England) and sponsored by financial planners H.M. Payson & Co. in celebration of their 150th anniversary. The poster depicts an image of fisherman and lobsterman George Donnell circa 1880. The photograph was taken by photographer Emma Lewis Coleman.
