On the Verso, inscription written in pencil, "Done by Langford Warren at corner of Boylston St. and Mass. Ave." Artist signature and date 10/16/87 in lower left corner of the painting. Artist is Herbert Langford Warren.
The painting was removed from the frame. The frame and glass front is currently resting at the bottom of the container.

The painting has some discoloration due to age. The watercolor is on paper adhered to cardboard. The verso of the painting has some flaking of glue. There are markings where the nails secured the painting in its original frame.

Herbert Langford Warren (1857-1917) was a British born New England architect. He attended school at Owens College in Manchester, England, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and studied under the architect H.H. Richardson in Brookline, Mass. Mr. Warren is associated with the Arts and Crafts movement in the United States. He founded, and was the first chair of, the School of Architecture at Harvard University.
