Each house design comes with a floor plan, an illustration of the house (provided by either Boston-based architects Robert Louis Stevenson or Byron E. Porter), and a paragraph describing unique features of the house. The latter half of the plan book contains advertisements for businesses selling housing or construction products, mostly Massachusetts-based.
