Historical/Biographical Note

Lucy W. (Wadsworth) Tuck was born in Maine in 1828. She married Lorenzo Tuck, a tinman and later stove salesman, in 1850. They moved to Weymouyth, Mass., and had three children. Their middle child and only son, Lorenzo Wadsworth Tuck, was the sole child to survive into adulthood. Lucy was widowed in 1882, and began practicing medicine around that time. Her son Lorenzo died at age 28 in 1888. Lucy continued to live in the Boston area until her death at age 90 in 1918.
