Description

Photo album. Album has a heavy textured dark brown covering and is held together with two metal brads. Front cover is partially detached. Spine covering is missing. Album has 85 olive green pages; sixteen of the pages are blank. Album contains photographs and photomechanical prints depicting furnished interiors of private residences and businesses. Most buildings are unidentified; therefore, it is uncertain if all buildings depicted contain the work of A. H. Davenport Co., Irving and Casson, or their successor, Irving and Casson - A. H. Davenport Co. Identified residences include those of William Robertson Coe (Oyster Bay, NY) and James N. Hill (Old Westbury, NY). Other named buildings include: Architects Samples Corporation (New York, NY); Brooklyn Edison Office Building (Brooklyn, NY); Ivanhoe Masonic Temple (Kansas City, MO); Masonic Lodge (Greenwich, CT); Noyes Buick Building (Boston, MA); and Charles Scribner's Sons (New York, NY). Digital images of a selection of photographs from the album are attached to this record.
