Description

Design drawing titled "Bureau of Mahog." rendered in pencil on trace. Front view is shown. Tall narrow bureau has upper recessed compartment with two shallow drawers flanked by by curved backboard; overhanging top with molded edge; six drawers with bail handles in a two-over-four arrangement; square stiles; and ovoid feet with carved acanthus leaves above. Oval mirror has narrow frame and is attached to upper compartment top by two tall columnar supports with turned finials and reeding. Title, design notes, "Fact. 22346" and "11729" are handwritten on drawing.
