Design drawing titled "One (1) Canopy Bed in Mrs. French's Room" rendered in pencil on trace. Perspective view is shown. Neoclassical-style tester bed has headboard with cut-out scroll ears; front posts with turned vasiform upper sections and reeded columnar lower sections; rear posts with turned vasiform upper sections, cylndrical middle with carved acanthus leaves, and reeded columnar lower sections; short turned ovoid feet with cuffs; urn finials; and tester frame attached to posts. Tester has flat top and is shown with a fabric valance. Title, design notes, "For Mrs. L. Melville French" and "March 25 / 08" are handwritten on drawing.
