Design drawing titled "Bed of French Walnut Made for C. Vanderbilt" rendered in pencil on trace. Front and side views are shown. Neoclassical-style bed has rectangular headboard and footboard; narrow side rails; four fluted posts with acorn finials atop rosette-carved blocks; and four tapered fluted legs terminating in cuffed feet. Headboard and lower footboard both have rectangular recessed panels with molding trim and indented corners with carved square folaite medallions. Title, design notes, "Chamber #10," "11483" and "J. B. W. Feb. 19 - 1907" are handwritten on drawing.
