Description

Design drawing titled "Writing Table of Maple with Painted Decoration" rendered in pencil on trace. Perspective view is shown. Rectangular writing table has overhanging top; short backboard with concave ends; three-tiered letter or paper holder with shaped sides at center of backboard; two shallow drawers with round pulls flanking a rectangular center panel; and four tapered square legs with cuffs and tapered feet. Painted decoration includes foliate motif on front of letter holder, garlands and swags on center panel, and stringing on drawer fronts and legs.Title, design notes, and "14243" are handwritten on drawing.
