Description

Design drawing titled "Reclining Chair" rendered in pencil and colored pencil on trace. Front and side views are shown. Arm chair has tall slanted rectangular back; crest rail with carved scrolls and shell; deep tufted upholstered cushion; flat arms; four turned spindles and carved scrolled arm support on each side; deep tufted upholstered seat cushion; curved front seat rail and straight side seat rails; splayed legs with vasiform turnings; casters; and side and front stretchers. Chair surfaces have green, yellow and red painted decoration. Title, "Gen. Hayes / Also R. W. Williamson 43660 / July 25 -1903 " and "Det 599" are handwritten on drawing.
