Description

Design drawing titled "Side Chair of French Walnut" rendered in pencil on trace. Front and side views are shown. Side chair has tall rectangular back with straight crest; rectangular seat; tapered square legs with carved tops; tapered turned feet; plain side stretchers; and front stretcher with central carved shell and foliage. Back and seat are fully upholstered; seat has ruffle at bottom edge. Title, design notes; "Order 28071 / Made for C. Vanderbilt Room 4" and "J. B. W. Feb. 19 07" are handwritten on drawing. Companion arm chair is CC10.001.006.007.005.
