Description

Design drawing titled "Table of Oak" rendered in pencil on trace. Front and side views of a table and armchair are shown; top plan of table is also provided. Long oval table has overhanging top with molded edge; shallow plain apron; two large pedestal legs with ring, vasiform and cylinder turnings; two trestle-style bases with bracket feet; and stretcher with ring, vasiform, and ball turnings. Armchair has raked back with straight crest rail; vasiform splat; shaped seat; shaped arms with scroll handholds; box stretchers; straight front legs; and raked back legs. Title, design notes, "For S. D. Warren & Co." and "made by R. B. and sent to Factory Dec. 9' 03 / sketch among Mr. Perkins." are handwritten on drawing. Last inscription is partially cut off on left side.
