Description

Unmounted pencil sketch of an unidentified house and surrounding land in Brookline, Massachusetts. The sketch shows the architectural features of the house such as its timber framing, turret, and gable roofing. In the foreground, trees and fields of flowers are drawn in front of a stone wall. A man wearing a hat and holding a cane is pictured walking in front of a wooden fence. In the bottom left corner, the artist's initials, GB, can be seen written in the floret of a flower. The sketch was completed by artist and architect George Frederick Bosworth in 1887.
