Description

One cabinet card, 4.25 x 7 inches. The image depicts a formally dressed couple. He sits on a cushioned chair and she stands beside him. The man, Charles Andrew Bloom, wears a suit with a bowtie and vest. The woman, Frances Bedford Bloom, is wearing a skirt and high necked blouse and a ring, necklace, bracelet, and a stick pin in her collar.

The photograph is adheared to a cardboard mount. The words "Readman / Gazette Building / Norwalk, Conn." and a stylized monograph are embossed under the photograph.

Charles Andrew Bloom (1872-1944) married Frances Bedford Bloom (1879-1947) in 1901. It is possible that this photograph was taken to commemorate their wedding.

Francis E. Readman (1840-1907) was a Connecticut-based photographer located in several locations in Norwalk in the late 1800s to 1907.
