Description

This image is an illustration of the Boston Tea Party, which took place at Griffin's Wharf in Boston, Massachusetts, on December 16, 1773. It depicts men, some dressed as Native Americans, in small boats throwing chests of tea into the water from a large ship. A crowd of onlookers is visible on a wharf in the background, and a ship's flag is seen on the right. The text at the bottom indicates this is a souvenir print for the 26th Triennial Conclave of the Knights Templar in Boston, 1895, and credits the artwork to the Bergner & Engel Brewing Co.
