Description

Manuscripts include a transcription of the official correspondence of Loammi Baldwin related to his work as the engineer in charge of dry dock construction in Charlestown, Massachusetts, and Norfolk, Virginia, in Bryant’s handwriting and a volume documenting Bryant’s commissions up to 1840. The transcribed correspondence was copied between 1832-1833. The original correspondence was dated between 1827-1832.
